Campaigning

Clare Walker Consultancy’s Campaigning activities include many projects, events and activism locally, nationally and internationally.

Clare is also a member of Womens’ International League for Peace and Freedom where Clare links in locally at grass roots level as well as with the International Community on addressing the wider picture of violence against women and girls from conflict zones and into the home.

As a Campaigner against Domestic abuse in all its forms CWC aims to change global society views of Domestic abuse, to stop blaming victims, to stop punishing victims for activities they had no say, understanding or control of.

Clare having been a victim herself many years ago, has first-hand experience of the effects and how they can present, as well as the entangled confusion and complexity of a power and control based intimate relationship.

Clare has since become a Domestic Abuse Consultant with over 20 years’ experience of domestic abuse, who uses her knowledge expertise and wisdom to fuel change through campaigning and activism.

Clare’s aim is to raise awareness of domestic abuse, to improve knowledge, skills and practice of professionals – ultimately improving the experience of services to the victims; be they adults or children.

In fact Clare Walker Consultancy launched its NO MORE campaign for any victims, survivors, children and adults, male and female, professionals and organisations who want to get involved and raise awareness of abuse in all its forms. The drive is just exactly that: NO MORE! Follow my NO MORE Domestic Abuse blog for regular posts, resources and information. Tweet with #NOMORE

CWC say’s NO MORE to ….

  • accepting excuses of why we’re abused
  • cuts to services for women and children specifically
  • professionals colluding with perpetrators beliefs
  • believing they will change
  • keeping it quiet.

CWC is saying NO MORE, because abuse is everyone’s business
