The Freedom Programme examines the roles played by attitudes and beliefs on the actions perpetrators, victims and survivors.
The Freedom Programme also describes in detail how children are affected by being exposed to this kind of abuse, from conception onwards and very importantly how their lives are improved when the abuse is removed from their environment.
- Delegates will be enabled to identify what underpins the manifested behaviour presented by children and young people affected by domestic abuse
- Delegates will be enabled to understand the far reaching impacts developmentally on a child or young person, following them into adult hood
- Delegates will be enabled to not inadvertently collude with perpetrators and not assume that mum can implement parenting effectively
- Delegates will be enabled to identify and then explore manifested behaviours even where there is no known knowledge of domestic abuse, within a family unit
